"Pooh's Story"

Hrustalnaya Mechta Cenitel' Prekrasnogo (interpretation- Guardian of a Beautiful Dream), known to all
   who love him as "Pooh".

He came to America from Russia, and during his long treacherous journey almost lost his life. Pooh
soon began to recover from his near death experience, blossoming into the champion he was meant to
   become.

Not without great deliberation, did we decide to take on the arduous task of making Pooh the
"ambassador" for the Russkiy Toy breed here in America. Even though there have been Russian Toys
(previously shown as Moscow Toy Terriers, former name for the long coat variety) shown here in
America, the breed was still relatively unknown. We are so thankful to his breeder Elena Morozova,
Russia, for allowing us to have such a magnificent animal. He truly is a "once in a lifetime" dog.

He has been given much encouragement along the way by many judges and exhibitors alike .One such
special moment came when noted breed authority and respected FCI judge Kari Jarvincen, from
Finland (called the father of Russkiy Toys and instrumental in having the breed recognized with FCI),
awarded him a prestigious Best of Breed honor, in Mexico at the World Dog Show series of shows. He
encouraged me to "really get him out there to represent the breed in a positive way by letting the world
see what a really good Russian Toy looks like".

This past year has been thrilling,to say the least, from his first Group win to his quick rise to the top
as the #1 Toy / Companion dog. Even with his limited outings, he has maintained this position all year.
We salute and thank all the judges who have made his journey to his current # 5 All-Breed spot
   memorable. Again, we thank you!

Pooh has accumulated many firsts for his breed, first Rarities, Inc., Russian Toy champion, first Group
win, first Top Ten Contender, etc., all this and at the tender age of two. Hopefully he is paving an easier
path for the future Russkiy Toys to follow.

In summary, even though it has been "a Big Dog World" this past year, this little guy has quickly made
his mark in both the show ring and the hearts of many. Look for us in a ring near you. We are the ones
having all the fun and "Showing It".

Even his name says it all, and what a dream it has been.

   To be continued.....
